Dear UVM Group,
My name is Azur Moulaert and I am a Research Associate at CDAE and a Fellow of the Gund Insititute. I am originally from Costa Rica and now work mostly there (http://www.uvm.edu/cdae/ecoticos). The purpose of my work is to find applied multidisciplinary (hum) Solutions for the sustainable development of Costa Rica (particularly the Sierpe/Osa region). For the last two years we have been nurturing a solid network of stakeholders and are now starting to move towards proposing specific on the ground (hum) Solutions. We've done several focus groups and all of the usual suspect ideas come forth - ranging from green water treatment through eco-building and organic farming.
The point at which I am at now is - we have all these technologies and conceptual strengths to acurately pinpoint what needs to be done. Now how do we get the Institutional Support (call it money if you want) to make things happen? Any advice on how to tap into the "Social Investment" mind, call it micro loans, entrepreneurship, business flat out. Anyway, my question again is:
How do we get instutional support to move our Solutions forwards?
Any slick templates for business prospectus out there? mini-business plan templates? Any book you can reccomend? Author? Website?
Best regards,
Azur
