BiographyYuill Herbert has worked on a wide range of projects related to sustainability and green building including lifecycle costing of products and buildings, green house gas assessments of organizations and buildings, ecological greywater and blackwater systems, energy and water assessments, renewable energy and appropriate transportation systems and urban and rural agricultural policy. Yuill is also involved in the development of community land trusts in Nova Scotia, as a mechanism to provide affordable housing and to preserve ecological values of land. During the summer he farms barley, quinoa, amaranth, wheat and oats. Yuill studied philosophy at Mount Allison University and is currently studying towards a Masters in Adult Education at St. Francis Xavier University. He is based in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia.
