Kathleen is a PhD candidate in the Franklin Eco Laboratory at the University of Queensland. She is undertaking research in the field of animal ecophysiology, looking at the effects of ultraviolet radiation and temperature on the immune system of amphibians. Kathleen hopes to shed light on the potential contribution of human-induced environmental change on the rise of novel wildlife diseases and the rapid loss of amphibian biodiversity.
