Namene holds a BSc in Physics and Geology from the University of Namibia, and is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Applied Science and Technology from the Namibia University of Science and Technology. Namene has an interest in social development and social cohesion. He is a leading member in the Young Achievers Empowerment Project, and a committee member of the For Progress Namibia Project, where he is facilitating the Sonderwater community of Katutura East with various land rights issues.
