Dr. Arjan Wardekker is an interdisciplinary environmental scientist (social and natural science, occasional humanities). He’s a Senior Researcher and Project Leader at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University (Netherlands) and a long-term Visiting Fellow at the interfaculty Centre for the Study of the Sciences and the Humanities, University of Bergen (Norway). His research focuses on urban resilience and climate change adaptation under uncertainty. He is particularly interested in designing and evaluating adaptation options and strategies for urban resilience, decision-support tools, governance under uncertainty, and perception, communication and framing of climate change and resilience.
