Ann-Marie Orler was appointed United Nations police adviser in the Department of Peacekeeping Operations in March 2010. Prior to joining the United Nations she was a police commissioner with the Swedish National Police for almost 20 years. Orler also served from 2001 to 2003 at the Council of Europe as the program manager for the “Police and Human Rights Beyond 2000” program.
