Carrie M. Leslie is a Research Assistant, Doctoral student, and Instructor at the University of Oklahoma and Editorial Assistant at The Solutions Journal. She focuses her research on Environmental and Climate Justice and is an NSF NRT Fellow and has a background in International Peace and Development Studies, Socio-Cultural Anthropology, and Environmental Sociology. Her research focuses on the ecologically unequal exchange of industrial air pollution, public health and water quality threats, Indigenous resistances to extractive industries, and re-centering of regenerative development and environmental ethics. Her work is intended to reframe environmental and climate awareness as vitally important for all living species and linked directly to social justice, equity, and regenerative ecological health.
