Christina Asquith joined Solutions in 2009 as one of the founding editors. She has been an investigative reporter, war reporter, and narrative nonfiction author; working both as a staff writer and freelancer for The New York Times, The Economist, The Guardian, The Chronicle of Higher Education, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. Her articles have been read by millions of viewers, and she has reported from Afghanistan, Jordan, Dubai, Oman, Qatar, and South America.
Christina is also author of two books, including the critically acclaimed "Sisters in War," (2009 Random House) which followed the lives of four women living in Iraq during the U.S. invasion and the civil war. Christina has appeared as an expert on global women's rights on ABC News, Fox News, Al Jazeera, NPR's Morning Edition, PRI's The World, as well as at The U.S. State Department, Harvard University, Boston University, Northeastern University, and many others. In 2011, she hosted the 2011 Women's Voices Now Film Festival in Los Angeles. She has also been a communications consultant on global maternal health for the Harvard School of Public Health.
Christina holds a BA from Boston University and an MA from the London School of Economics.
