Christina Schiavoni is an activist and scholar focused on food sovereignty and the right to food. Originally from the US, she is currently working on her PhD at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague, Netherlands. Her most current areas of research include Venezuela, Tanzania, and global food policy spaces such as the UN Committee on World Food Security. Earlier, she worked as an advocate and organizer on efforts to grow and strengthen the movement for food sovereignty in the U.S. and globally.
