Lee Schipper is senior research engineer at the Precourt Energy Efficiency Center at Stanford University. He is also project scientist with Global Metropolitan Studies at the University of California–Berkeley and an affiliate of the Energy and Resources Group there. As a two-time member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, he is a corecipient of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. Previously, he was director of research for EMBARQ, the World Resources Institute Center for Sustainable Transport, which he helped found in April 2002. Previous to that, he was staff senior scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for two decades.
