Reuven Yosef is professor of ornithology at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. Yosef moved back to Israel from the United States in 1993 with his family to become the director of the International Birding & Research Center in Eilat. His major project was to reclaim the local garbage dump and turn it into a sanctuary for hundreds of millions of migratory birds.
