Sergio Finardi is an expert on warfare logistics and the arms trade, with more than 25 years of research activity in Africa, the Middle East, the Far East, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. He worked for more than 10 years as a consultant to an international logistics group with defense-related business, before focusing his research and professional activity on armed conflicts, arms trade, arms trafficking, and the geo-economy of strategic resources. In 2008, he served in the U.N. Security Council’s Group of Experts on D.R. Congo, Resolution 1807 (2008), for Aviation and Logistics. He is a co-founder and director of Trans Arms - Research Center for the Logistics of Arms Transfers.
