Stefanie is a participant of the Young Professional Programme of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. She currently works in the Department for Environment and Biodiversity in the Federal Ministry. She previously worked for the Regional Programme for Sustainable Use of Natural Resources in Central Asia, where she coordinated the political implementation of the ELD study. Stefanie holds a MSc in Biology, and after university she started working in the field of development cooperation for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Eschborn in the Sectorial Project on Sustainable Agriculture.
